Autumn in the Lake District

Published: 18 September 2011

Good to read Giles Coren's article in the Times Weekend section yesterday - he seemed to enjoy his break in the Lakes. In the good man's own words (well, I think they were his, but it was the column down the side so one can't be sure): "The crowds have gone and the leaves are beginning to turn. Now is the perfect time to visit the Lake District". We've had a couple of stunning sunny days in the last week....and if you're not lucky enough to get the sun then never worry... we'll treat you to a roaring fire and give your waterproofs a place by the Aga.
